While the Russian soprano Anna Netrebko had announced that she was temporarily retiring from the stage, forced by the West to take a stand on the war in Ukraine, the diva and international superstar is making an unexpected return to the Monte Carlo Opera until 30 April 2022, where she is replacing the ailing Maria Agresta. The many aficionados will be able to applaud her in recital in a series of concerts based on Russian melodies in Paris, Vienna and Milan. This summer, while she was expected to perform Verdi’s Nabucco at the Verona Arena Festival, she finally chose to perform as Aida and Turandot, changing a few dates in the process… No confusion, Anna Netrebko is still the greatest voice today and a wonderful diva!
