On Monday 16 October 2023, the grand foyer of the Théâtre du Châtelet hosted the first awards ceremony for the cultural media L’éloge. Co-created by Constance Arnoult and Anaëlle Malka, the Instagram account has more than 25,000 followers and shares tips, recommendations, interviews, reports, etc. to democratise culture and make it accessible to all.
Based on an original idea by Anne Serroy and with the help of Dobra Swinkel, Les Éloges shines the spotlight not only on artists but also on the people behind France’s performing arts industry. Thanks to an exceptional jury (Paul Marque, prima ballerina at the Opéra national de Paris, Jennifer Decker, actress and member of the Comédie-Française, Vincent Huguet, director, Lison Daniel, actress and scriptwriter, Xavier Ronze, head of the ballet costume workshops at the Opéra national de Paris, Simone Menezes, conductor, Chloé Dabert, director), Ballet, Opera and Theatre have been rewarded.

Among the prize-winners were set designer Camille Dugas and the ateliers of the Opéra national du Rhin, rewarded for their sets for Lakmé, Offenbach’s La Périchole with Marina Viotti directed by Laurent Pelly at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and Thomas Jolly, who received the Prix d’Honneur.
