Stradivarius is not dead! As long as his legendary instruments are played on stages around the world, the famous luthier from Cremona will continue to live on as a reference for all artists. Thanks to the loan of the 1702 Stradivarius “Thunis” by KIA Motors, the owner of the instrument, the young German violinist Clara-Jumi Kang has been granted a great honor. Once played by Jeanette Ysaÿe, the widow of the famous virtuoso Eugène Ysaÿe, the Thunis will continue to travel the world and remain highly visible, unlike many other instruments. Valued at up to several million euros, some have become the subject of speculation and now lie dormant in safes or are displayed like trophies in private collections, silenced and deprived of their sumptuous voice!
