Two major events about French composer Rameau on September at Royaumont and Opéra Bastille

Baroque French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau is the focus of two major events on September 27th and 29th, 2019. At Royaumont Festival on Sunday the 29th, Alexis Kossenko conducts the orchestra Les Ambassadeurs to perform Platée, the most popular piece of the Baroque composer, starring Anders Dahlin, Chantal Santon-Jeffery and Thomas Dolié.

On Friday 27th will be premiered the new production of Rameau’s masterpiece Les Indes galantes at Opera Bastille. Director Clément Cogitore directs a modern version with the choreographer Bintou Dembélé and Krump dancers. The cast is remarkable starring Sabine Devieilhe, Jodie Devos, Julie Fuchs, Florian Sempey, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Mathias Vidal, Edwin Crossley -Mercer, Alexandre Duhamel with conductor Leonardo García Alarcón.
