For eleven seasons now, Christian Spuck has presided over the destiny of Ballett Zürich as director and chief choreographer. After shaping Switzerland’s largest company, he is now leaving to become artistic director of the Staatsballett Berlin. For his farewell to the Ballett Zürich, several events are being organised at the Opernhaus, such as the recording of his ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Prokofiev on 13 May, which will then be broadcast free of charge on the Opera House website. “Monteverdi”, the last choreography to be created for Ballett Zürich, will be performed for the last seven performances of the season from 26 May to 25 June 2023.
