After Toulouse, where Olivier Py‘s production premiered at the start of the 2023-2024 season, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées is also losing its star. Matthias Goerne was due to take on the role of Boris Godunov in Mussorgsky‘s masterpiece, but the famous baritone will not be joining the cast in the end. As in Toulouse, bass Alexander Roslavets replaces by in the production, which runs from 28 February to 7 March 2024 with Andris Poga conducting.
