On 12 and 27 November 2021, the entire Théâtre des Champs-Elysées will blow out the candles by hosting two major events as Le Concert d’Astrée and L’Ensemble Matheus celebrate their anniversaries. For the 20th anniversary of her orchestra, Emmanuelle Haïm has built a Campra, Haendel, Purcell and Rameau programme (on Friday 12 November). She invited her artist friends, such as Natalie Dessay, Sabine Devieilhe, Julie Fuchs, Patricia Petibon, Sandrine Piau, Isabelle Druet, Eva Zaïcik, Tim Mead, Mathias Vidal, Rolando Villazón and many others. On Saturday 27 November, it is Jean-Christophe Spinosi‘s turn, who for his 30th birthday, welcomes Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Philippe Jaroussky and Florian Boesch, among others, for a great jazz, rap, song and pop karaoke, as well as opera excerpts from Handel, Rossini, Verdi, Mozart, Vivaldi and Monteverdi. Happy birthdays!
