Great conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla will probably be a new mother on 15 September. She won’t be able to conduct the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Lucerne then. Fortunatly, talented conductor Omer Meir Wellber replaces and makes his debut at the Lucerne Festival.

New success for the Lucerne Festival Easter with a total of 9,000 visitors. Tickets are already available for the Summer edition.

While the next Lucerne Festival Piano will be held from 18 to 26 November, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra is touring in Asia for the first-ever time with Music Director Riccardo Chailly.

The Lucerne Piano Festival will be held from November 18th to 26th 2017 is an A-plus festival this season featuring Piotr Anderszewski, Leif Ove Andsnes, Martha Argerich, Kit Armstrong, and Yulianna Avdeeva but also Evgeny Kissin and Daniil Trifonov.
