As the New York Philharmonic prepares to move back into Lincoln Center, the cultural complex is making a gesture to its generous donors. The renovated David Geffen Hall will now bear the names of Clara Wu Tsai and Joe Tsai. With $50 million donated to accelerate the project, the Wu Tsai Theater, David Geffen Hall will open in October 2022 with a concert conducted by Jaap van Zweden.
