Open doors in Rome

Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, under the direction of its new sovrintendente Francesco Giambrone, has just inaugurated its 2022-23 season with a French opera, Dialogues des Carmélites, a masterpiece by Francis Poulenc (conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Emma Dante).

The next productions on the bill will be more traditional with Don Quixote, the famous ballet choreographed by Laurent Hilaire and Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore starring Aleksandra Kurzak, Federica Guida, John Osborn and Juan Francisco Gatell in alternating roles.
