Powerful Pelléas at Louis Jouvet’s Théâtre

The Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet has the excellent idea of reviving an intimate and powerful production. Created by the Royaumont Foundation, the production of Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, directed by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier, runs from 15 to 25 February 2024 with a fresh cast of young artists trained at the abbey. Jean-Christophe Lanièce returns as Pelléas, Marthe Davost as Mélisande and Halidou Nombre as the terrible Golaud, while Marie-Laure Garnier, a great recitalist and inspired actress, takes on the role of Geneviève for the first time.
