Render unto César!

César Franck is the composer at the heart of the 2022 celebrations. Born in Liège on 10 December 1822, he is one of the great figures of the musical world of the XIXᵉ century. It is not surprising that the brilliant Palazzetto Bru Zane, a great specialist in French Romantic music, should propose a cycle devoted to César Franck and his pupils. First in Venice with the melodies, performed by Tassis Christoyannis and Jeff Cohen, the concerts will continue in Saint-Étienne, Liège, Namur and above all in Paris, where his little-known opera Hulda will be performed in concert version at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (on the 1st of June). Before the release of CDs, other events will take place at the Ste Clothilde church and the Philharmonie de Paris during the Palazzetto Bru Zane Festival.
