										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="ewa-rteLine">The<strong> year 2024</strong> commemorates<strong> 200 years</strong> since the birth of <strong>Czech</strong> composer <strong>Bedřich Smetana (1824–1884)</strong>, whilst also marking the 140th anniversary of his passing. In cooperation with the <strong>Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava</strong>, the <strong>National Moravian-Silesian Theatre</strong> will stand as the sole opera house worldwide commemorating these milestones by presenting its own productions of all eight completed operas by<strong> Bedřich Smetana</strong> within the <strong>Smetana Opera Cycle Ostrava 2024</strong>.<strong> Bedřich Smetana</strong>’s operatic masterpieces <strong>The Brandenburghers in Bohemia, The Bartered Bride, Dalibor, The Two Widows, The Kiss, The Secret, The Devil’s Wall</strong>, and <strong>concert performance of Libuše</strong> can be experienced in in their entirety during<strong> 2–10 March and 4–12 May 2024</strong> in <strong>Ostrava, Czech Republic.</strong></div>
