Together, they will perform a classical and romantic repertoire featuring works by <strong>Beethoven, Schumann, Berlioz</strong>, and <strong>Richard Strauss</strong>.</div>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="ewa-rteLine">Although he remains the world&#8217;s most famous gambist, <strong>Jordi Savall</strong> is an exciting conductor, leading the <strong>Hespèrion XXI ensemble</strong> in medieval, Renaissance and Baroque repertoire and <strong>Le Concert des Nations</strong> in repertoire ranging from Baroque to Romanticism. The great artist is also artistic director of a festival that bears his name. The next <strong>Jordi Savall Festival</strong> will take place from <strong>12 to 18 April 2024</strong> in the heart of Catalonia, in <strong>Santes Creus</strong> (near Tarragona). The programme includes concerts in thousand-year-old places imagined by the master Savall, with music ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary music, and an astonishing Ravel concert and the music that inspired him (on 17 August).</div>

Tributes to the Diva assoluta have already been paid around the world (notably in Athens, where she made her debut), but Paris is rolling out the finest red carpet with a <strong>gala evening on 2 December 2023</strong>, D-Day, which promises to be exceptional. Returning to the splendour of prestigious evenings, director<strong> Robert Carsen</strong> has devised a tribute show featuring the superb soprano<strong> Sondra Radvanovsky</strong> and a number of prestigious colleagues whose names are still being kept secret. The conductor will be <strong>Eun Sun Kim</strong>.</div>

During the month of March 2023, it is offering two unusual and exceptional events. After a festival to be held in Venice from <strong>1 April to 17 June 2023</strong>, the highlights are expected in Paris where, as part of the Palazzetto Bru Zane&#8217;s Parisian festival, <strong>three concerts</strong> will be held, including Louise Bertin&#8217;s opera <strong>Fausto</strong> on <strong>20 June</strong> and a <strong>symphonic concert</strong> on <strong>23 June</strong> at the <strong>Théâtre des Champs-Elysées</strong>.</p>

Rest assured, the concert has been rescheduled for<strong> October 19</strong>. Many venues will probably have to do the same, as the superb pianist&#8217;s schedule is always very busy.</p>

The Piano Concerto No. 3 will be performed by <strong>Yefim Bronfman</strong>. On <strong>29 and 30 March</strong>, the Tonhalle will host <strong>Yuja Wang</strong> in Concerto No. 2. On this occasion, the music directors of the two institutions, <strong>Gianandrea Noseda</strong> and <strong>Paavo Järvi</strong>, who have been friends for many years, will share the performances as well as their respective orchestras (Philharmonia Zürich and Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The long-confined city of Sydney appointed the new <strong>Principal Conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra</strong> in 2020-2021, but <strong>Simone Young</strong> (the first woman to hold the post) was not able to lead her orchestra until July 2022, when the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall reopened. The upcoming 2023 season will therefore be her first full season as Chief Conductor. While she chose Mahler&#8217;s Symphony No. 2 &#8216;Resurrection&#8217; to open the renovated hall, it is only natural that she should open her first season with <strong>Mahler&#8217;s Symphony No. 1</strong> in the season-opening series of <strong>concerts</strong> from <strong>8 to 11 February 2023</strong> at the <strong>Sydney Opera House Concert Hall</strong>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As 2023 is a Rachmaninoff year (150 years since his birth), <strong>Bozar in Brussels</strong> is opening the ball with a <strong>Rachmaninoff Festival</strong> to be held from <strong>2 to 5 February 2023</strong>. The four piano concertos of the virtuoso composer, his chamber music and his moving Vespers will be performed by the <strong>Belgian National Orchestra</strong>, the <strong>Latvian Radio Choir</strong> and great artists such as pianists <strong>Nikolai Lugansky</strong>, <strong>Bezhod Abduraimov</strong>, <strong>Denis Kozhukhin</strong> and conductor <strong>Cristian Măcelaru</strong>.</p>
