										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The great <strong>American choreographer</strong> <strong>John Neumeier</strong> has just turned a page in his exemplary artistic life. Having just bid farewell to the <strong>Hamburg Ballet</strong>, which he directed for 51 years, the choreographer is not giving up the stage. Beginning in the 1940s, his career, recently crowned with a &#8220;lifetime achievement award&#8221; by the specialized <strong>magazine <em>tanz</em></strong>, continues as a curator and impresario. From<strong> September 26 to October 13, 2024</strong>, the third edition of the festival <strong><em>The World of John Neumeier</em></strong> will be held in <strong>Baden-Baden</strong>, at the <strong>Festspielhaus</strong>, and throughout the city.<br />

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Following the announcement that the <strong>Berliner Philharmoniker</strong> will be returning to<strong> Salzburg</strong> from 2026, <strong>Baden-Baden</strong> is calling on a new generation of artists to maintain its prestigious<strong> Easter Festival</strong> at the same level of excellence. In order to &#8220;broaden the European vision&#8221;, the <strong>Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest</strong> in<strong> Amsterdam</strong> and the <strong>Mahler Chamber Orchestra</strong> will take over as main orchestras of the Festival from 2026. Conductors <strong>Joana Mallwitz</strong> and <strong>Klaus Mäkelä</strong> will play a central role in<strong> Baden-Baden</strong>&#8216;s future artistic programming. In the meantime, the next two editions in 2024 and 2025 will feature the Berliner, who have been in residence at the <strong>Festspielhaus Baden-Baden</strong> since 2013.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After performing the premiere of an Aucoin, Bernstein, Tchaikovsky and Verdi concert at <strong>Carnegie Hall </strong>in <strong>New York</strong> (22 June 2023), <strong>Yannick Nézet-Séguin</strong> is taking his orchestra to Europe. <strong>The Met Orchestra</strong> is expected to perform on <strong>27 June 2023</strong> at <strong>the Philharmonie de Paris</strong> and on 2 July at the <strong>Festspielhaus Baden-Baden</strong> with soprano <strong>Renée Fleming</strong> to perform as Desdemona in Act IV of Verdi&#8217;s Otello alongside tenor Russell Thomas. As the soprano withdrew from the performance, <strong>Angel Blue</strong> replaced her, bringing a touch of blue to the dark drama!</p>

<p>This year again, prestigious orchestras are on stage (the <strong>Berliner Philharmoniker, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mariinsky Orchestra</strong>&#8230;) as well as international soloists (<strong>Yuja Wang, Gautier Capuçon, Julia Fischer</strong>&#8230;). In addition to dance with great choreographers and a series of classical ballets (Swan Lake, The Nutcracker), opera is not left out with Idomeneo by Mozart and Mazeppa by Tchaikovsky.</p>
